Review: 41087 Bunny and Babies

What’s even cuter than a bunny? A baby bunny of course! And in this set we get a double dose of baby bunny cuteness!

The FriendsBricks community wishes to thank TLG’s CEE Team for generous support of this set to review and share with fans.

The front of the box shows the whole build, with one of the babies outside of the pen! I wonder who left the gate open as we don’t have a minifigure in this set ...

Also noticable on the front of the box is the cross and paw print just below the picture of the five friends, as well as the aqua trim on the box, depicting this set is part of the Vet sub-theme. This sub-theme is also evident on the back of the box, which has an image of the new Vet Clinic set (41085) and also directs us to: LEGO.com/friendsvet

Inside the box is one loose instruction booklet, a 6x8 Lime plate and small bag of parts. The Lime plate is unique to this set.

The instruction booklet has the same main image as the set box.

Consistent with previous Friends sets, the instructions are easy to follow for even the younger fans with parts lists for each step.

You can see in the above image that the instructions were folded in the set box, which I tend to find a little annoying as it means they will now be permanently creased.

On the back of the instructions, Emma invites us to provide feedback for a chance to win a set.

Here are the contents of the parts bag:

The pieces that are unique to this set (in addition to the 6x8 Lime plate) are the two baby bunnies and Light Aqua baby bottle. The Magenta 1x2 curved slope is new, but not unique to this set as it is also in Ariel’s Undersea Palace (41063) which is also due for release in 2015.

Let’s take a closer look at the stars of this show, the bunnies:

Yep, definitely ultra-cute with their heart-shaped noses. A pink nose would have been even cuter, but I’m not complaining.

For reference, the baby bunny is 1 stud wide, about 1.5 studs long and 4 plates high in total. In other words, the baby bunnies are really small! There is a hole in the top of the head for an accessory.  However, being so small means that anything attached to the head pretty much hides the baby bunny.

Let’s have a look at the set as a whole:

Overall, I think this is a great little set and a must have for those cute baby bunnies.

Thanks for reading! C&C welcome.

Note: All exclusive parts mentioned in the colours noted were applicable at the time this review was posted. Parts may be available in other colours and sets after the post of this review.  Brickset and BrickLink were use to verify this information.
